Walk 2026
Fifty professionals. One convention floor. Four product worlds. And a time window that can't move.
The annual Product Walk is the event where store managers, brand partners, and product innovators from across the country get their first look at what's hitting store floors in the year ahead. The 2026 edition took place in February at the Venetian Expo in Las Vegas, spanning four product categories: Tools & Hardware, Home & Bath, Outdoor & Decor, and Tech & Recreation.
For the second consecutive year, The Construct Group was on the floor in force — this time with a crew of 50 field professionals deployed across the convention space. Our role: build the product vignettes and immersive demo environments that gave hundreds of store managers from a national home improvement center their hands-on preview of the innovations they'd be selling.
That means taking a raw convention floor and turning it into fully realized living rooms, kitchens, bathrooms, and entertainment spaces — complete, credible, and ready for opening morning. Executing an event of this scale without a hitch took months of coordinated preparation — with the retailer, its vendor partners, designers, manufacturers, and TCG's own engineering and production teams all aligned before a single wall went up.
Convention center timelines don't bend. So we made sure everything was ready before we arrived.
TCG's approach to large-scale event production starts well before the first truck leaves for Las Vegas. Walls, structural components, and electrical elements were fabricated and pre-wired at TCG's facility in West Chicago — built, tested, and staged for rapid assembly on the convention floor.
Products, cabinetry, and display materials from participating manufacturers were consolidated and organized at TCG's workshop ahead of the move. By the time our crew arrived at the Venetian Expo, the floor wasn't a construction problem — it was an assembly operation.
- Structural wall systems fabricated and pre-wired off‑site
- Manufacturer product consolidated and staged at TCG facility
- Flooring systems, cabinetry, and display elements pre‑positioned
- On-site assembly sequenced for maximum speed with a 50-person crew
- Real-time problem-solving as each vignette came together
- 28 truckloads sequenced and delivered to align with install phases
One environment needed live flowing water in the middle of a convention floor. TCG made it work.
Among the product environments on the floor: a fully functional shower and tub demonstration space — not a mock-up, not a rendering, but running water, visible performance, and full product operation for the store managers who came to see it.
Rigging live plumbing in the middle of a convention space is the kind of problem that most event production companies decline. TCG built a complete plumbing solution on-site — supply, drainage, and integration with the broader bath environment — delivering a demonstration space that worked exactly as the vendor needed it to, on opening morning.
The bathroom vignettes visible in these images aren't approximations of what a customer might experience. They are the experience — tile laid, fixtures plumbed, lighting set, and finished to the same standard TCG brings to a permanent installation.
